1. Junk Photo & Video Cleaner – Stash
Stash is a comprehensive solution to your perennial WhatsApp spam woes. It comes with a myriad of features, the most important one being its ability to detect which pictures you’d want to delete. It does so with the help of an artificially intelligent algorithm which is compatible with both images and videos. Once you grant the app the permission to access your storage, Stash will forage it in a couple of seconds and allow you to review 18 of them at a time before erasing them. In addition to that, the app even comes with a trash so that you can restore any deleted files within ten days.
Stash, however, also packs a flurry other advanced features that you won’t find in any other app. For starters, you can enable real-time detection which lets the app remove spam pictures and clips as soon as they arrive. Furthermore, there’s something called “Stash Feed” which shows you trending WhatsApp content based on your interests. There’s a bit of a catch, though. To unlock any of these supplementary tools, you’ll have to collect coins. The app will add some as a daily bonus every day. Surprisingly, you can not buy them through in-app purchases which is probably a first for an app. On top of that, Stash is entirely free of cost. You can download it from the link down below. 2. Siftr Magic Cleaner
If you find Stash way too cluttered, take a look at another app called “Siftr Magic Cleaner”. You can consider Siftr as a trimmed down version of Stash. Although the opposite of that is actually true since Siftr was launched before. Anyway, Siftr also employs a bunch of machine learning algorithms to diagnose your phone for WhatsApp spam. You will know why I used the word “diagnose” when you install the app. Unlike Stash, this app comes with a straightforward interface which is much less intimidating and easier to navigate around. Siftr also features a feed which brings you trending content every day. In a way, you can say that Siftr tries to sell you both the disease and cure. Another perk you have with this app is that it’s not limited to just WhatsApp. Siftr functions with a range of messaging services including Hike, Telegram, Viber, and Line. Siftr is free as well. Unfortunately, at the time of writing this article, the developers had pulled down the app from the Play Store for some reason. You can still sideload the APK, although it lacks the trending content feature as we couldn’t find the latest one. Google Play Store Link
3. Google Files Go
Google’s very own Files Go is your one-stop shop for every kind of storage tasks. The app is specifically designed to help Android users free up space. Hence, Files Go offers a series of smart suggestions for how you can achieve that. For instance, it will recommend clearing data of applications you haven’t used in awhile and of course, the WhatsApp media folder. Files Go can also assist you in locating duplicate files. Apart from being a memory rescuer, Files Go even comes with a standard file manager and a peer-to-peer file sharing utility which functions without an internet connection. Files Go is free and you can download it from the link down below. Google Play Store Link
4. Inbuilt Tools
A bunch of smartphone companies like OPPO have begun bundling inbuilt tools for eliminating messaging spam. The feature is usually present on phones from China-based OEMs and can be found inside the “Phone Manager” app. So those were some of the methods you can look into for getting rid of WhatsApp spam. Let us know in the comment section down below if we missed a good one.
