Apple had offered red cases for the iPhones earlier but this is the first time the company has made an actual red iPhone. This is what Apple had to say, “The introduction of this special edition iPhone in a gorgeous red finish is our biggest (PRODUCT)RED offering to date in celebration of our partnership with (RED), and we can’t wait to get it into customers’ hands,” Apple CEO Tim Cook. Apple had played with the color palette on the iPhone 5C and the latest addition was the new glossy jet black finish for the iPhone 7. The company had also introduced rose gold option starting from iPhone 6s. The red color option will be available on both iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus starting from 24th of March in 128GB and 256GB models with prices starting from $749. As you can deduce Apple has kept the color unique to the top end storage options. If you always thought that the iPhones were a bit too drab for your taste this is the chance to get yourself a shiny bright red iPhone 7. On a related note, Apple has also doubled up the storage capacity on the iPhone SE and the device will now be available in 32Gb and 128GB models with prices starting from $399. Also announced is the new colored variants for its silicone and leather cases, silicon will be available in camelia and pebble whereas the leather case will come in taupe, sapphire, and berry. The Red variant is conceived along with “RED” which is an organization working towards eliminating AIDS and ensuring an AIDS-free generation.
