Any regular Twitter user will know how messy it can get with Twitter Direct Messages (DMs) collected over a certain period, especially since Twitter stores both Sent and Received DMs in our accounts. There doesn’t seem to be any limit on number of DMs one can have, but then, there is no easy way to delete them all at once or in batches. Luckily, we now have a simple freeware tool to group delete Twitter DMs right from our desktop. Twitter DM Deleter is a portable tool to quickly view and delete DMs of your Twitter account. You can see all direct messages, then select few or all and delete them with a click of a button.
Twitter DM Deleter
Twitter DM Deleter is a portable tool. Hence, there is no need to install the app. Just unzip and run the tool. It will ask for your Twitter username and password. Provide the details and click on Authenticate. I know, some of you will be apprehensive in providing the Twitter login details to a new freeware app, but I can completely vouch for the safety of your login details, as I know the developer personally. Once your account is authenticated, it might take some time to download and list all your DMs (depends on number of DMs you have currently). You will now see the list of DMs populated neatly.
You can either click to select specific DM or select all and then click “Delete Selected DMs”. Click “Yes” on confirm screen to quickly delete specific DM (direct message). You can login again to view and delete other DMs in your account. This freeware tool is just 20.1KB in size and works on Windows XP/Vista/7. Download Twitter DM Deleter
