Yes, you can use your Mac entirely in Hindi by enabling it as the default language. This will essentially translate every text element of the interface from the currently configured language like English. Unfortunately, though, Siri will still speak English. For starters, head over to your Mac’s “System Preferences” either from the Launchpad or simply searching through Spotlight. There, look for “Language and Region”. In case you’re unable to locate it, type in the search bar present on the top. Here, you’ll be able to add Hindi as the primary preferred language. To do so, tap the little plus icon located on the bottom left corner beneath the white box. In the pop-up, you’ll need to find Hindi. Tap the ‘H’ key for quickly jumping to the particular section.
Double click Hindi and Mac will ask you if you’d like to set it as the primary system language. Hit the blue “Use Hindi” button, reboot the Mac and you’re good to go. There are a few other Indian languages available including Bengali, Assamese, Bhojpuri but these are not completely compatible with Mac’s system elements. Apple as of now has only added support for Hindi. If you change your mind sometime in the future, you merely need to tap the minus button after selecting Hindi in the white box.
