OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition: Design and Display
In terms of design, the phone features a carbon fiber finish with orange accents the extend all the way from the edges and the bottom to the camera module on the rear. Towards the front, the phone flaunts a 6.67-inch Fluid AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 3120×1440 pixels screen resolution, 516ppi pixel density, HDR10+, and Gorilla Glass 5. The display goes all the way to the edges to give it a premium look and feel, and also offers an immersive experience while consuming content.
OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition: Performance
The McLaren Edition 7T has a 7nm Octa-core Snapdragon 855 Plus processor with Qualcomm AI Engine and Adreno 640 GPU running at its core, paired with 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM (over 8GB found on OnePlus 7T Pro) and 256GB of UFS 3.0 internal storage. It has a 4085mAh battery with Warp Charge30T FastCharging support to power everything. Talking about other specifications of the device, the phone comes with USB 3.1, Type-C, DolbyAtmos, in-display fingerprint, Face Unlock, haptic vibration, and dual stereo speakers. As for software, the McLaren Edition variant runs on OxygenOS 10.0 based on Android 10 out of the box, similar to the regular OnePlus 7T Pro. However, what distinguishes it from the regular model is its ‘streamlined UI’ that is inspired by the dashboard on McLaren cars and comes with orange accents across the interface. Additionally, the phone gets the usual Fnatic mode for gaming, to offer an uninterrupted gaming experience, and also the Zen mode, to encourage users to have a healthier balanced lifestyle, as found on the OnePlus 7T Pro.
OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition: Camera
For optics, the phone sports the same camera found on the regular OnePlus 7T Pro, which is a triple-camera setup with dual-LED flash, that includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor with f/1.6 aperture, 0.8µm pixel size, OIS, and EIS, an 8MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture, 1.0µm size, and OIS, and a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture and 117-degree field of view. On the front, the phone has a 16MP Sony IMX471 pop-up camera with f/2.0 aperture, 1.0µm pixel size, and EIS.
As for video capabilities, the rear camera supports 4K and 1080p video at 30/60fps, 720p super-slow motion at 480fps/960fps and 1080p at 240fps. On the other hand, the front camera offers 1080p video recording at 30fps, along with time-lapse.
OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition: Pricing and Availability
The OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition is priced at GBP 799 and will go on sale in Europe starting October 17. It will come with a bundled case that is specifically custom made using Alcantara fabric.
