Samsung has finally ditched the polycarbonate built for its budget range and opted for a metal unibody design in the Galaxy J (2017) series. The metal back of all three smartphones features two horizontal antenna bands. While the metal unibody design of the smartphones is quite familiar, but these small tweaks are enough to make the Galaxy J series stand out from the rest of the crowd.
Internally, all three smartphones are different from one another. The smallest of the lot is the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017). It packs a 5 inch HD (1,280 x 720p) TFT display, 1.4GHz Exynos , 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and a 2,400mAh battery. In terms of camera, the Samsung Galaxy J3 (201fefeatures a 13MP rear and 5MP front facing shooter. Needless to say that the budget smartphone runs on Android Nougat 7.0 with the latest TouchWiz UI on top.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) on the other hand packs a larger 5.2 inch HD (1,280 x 720p) Super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor coupled with Mali T830 GPU. That aside, the midrange Galaxy comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. The storage capacity of the smartphone can be further increased by using a MicroSD card (up to 256GB).
The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) boasts a 13MP f/1.7 rear and a 5MP f/1.9 front shooter. Apart from these, the midrange device features a 3,000mAH battery and runs on Nougat 7.0

The larger Galaxy J7 (2017) is the most feature packed smartphone among the three. Up front, the Galaxy J7 (2017) sports a 5.5 inch Full HD (1,920 x 1,080p) Super AMOLED panel. The internals of the smartphone is however similar to that of the Galaxy J5 (2017), except for the RAM. The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) comes with 3GB RAM under the hood.
With that said, the top of the line J series smartphones comes with some extra features. These include IP54 dust and splash resistance, USB Type-C port and a 3,600mAh battery. Its also worth noting that both the Galaxy J5 (2017) and Galaxy J7 (2017) comes with a Fingerprint sensor integrated into the home button.

All three Galaxy J (2017) series smartphones are expected to go on sale in Europe soon. Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy J5 (2017) and Galaxy J7 (2017) will be go on sale in Europe from the months of June and July respectively. Besides, it plans to bring the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) in August. The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017), Galaxy J5 (2017) and Galaxy J7 (2017) will cost EUR 219, EUR 279 and EUR 339 respectively. Samsung will be bringing these smartphones to its other international markets including India soon.
