Off late, Samsung has slowly moves it focus primarily from flagship smartphones to budget and mid-range devices. The move was especially needed for withstanding to competitions the brand was facing from Chinese counterparts in developing markets like India. Thus, the Korean electronics firm started with the J series of devices, which was subsequently followed by the introduction of the On series. Now, the recently launched Samsung On Nxt sits at the top of the On lineup from the Korean firm. Up front, the Samsung On Nxt comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD TFT LCD display that comes with a 2.5D curved glass. Powering the smartphone is a Exynos 7870 1.6Ghz octa core processor with eight Cortex A53. This new chip made using the 14nm FinFET process comes integrated with a Mali T830 MP1 GPU. That aside, the Samsung On Nxt packs 3GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. There’s also a room for memory expansion via MicroSD card slot.
Talking of cameras, the Samsung On Nxt comes with a 13MP f/1.9 rear shooter that comes equipped with a single LED flash. This is again mated with an 8MP f/1.9 selfie snapper located to the front. The mid-range Galaxy smartphone also packs a Fingerprint Sensor incorporated onto the home button located at the bottom of the display. Underneath the all metal unibody framework of the Galaxy On Nxt lies a 3300mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery that can be expected to last through a day of moderate to heavy usage. The Samsung Galaxy On Nxt supports 4G LTE and comes with two SIM slots apart from a dedicated MicroSD card slot. The rest of specifications include the regular set of connectivity features including Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. It runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI on top.
