Unlike last year’s model, the Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) sports a full metal unibody design and comes in three color options namely Rose Gold, Gold and Black. That aside, the internals have received a major spec boost. The lower mid-range smartphone from Samsung now comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920x1080p) panel as compared to the HD panel seen in the last generation. Besides, the Galaxy On7 2016 is now powered by an octa core Snapdragon 625 SoC and 3GB RAM. In terms of storage, Samsung has included a 32GB eMMC memory underneath along with an option for memory expansion via MicroSD card slot.
Talking of the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) packs a 13MP f/1.9 rear shooter with LED flash and an 8MP f/1.9 front facing selfie snapper. A marked improvement over the last generation On7 however, is the presence of a Fingerprint Sensor embedded on the Home Button. Incidentally, this Fingerprint Sensor can be used for making payment in China using Alipay. Powering the Galaxy On7 (2016) is a large 3300mAH battery which is encased in the 8mm slim profile of the smartphone. Despite, the large battery and the metal unibody built, the smartphone is quite light at just 167g. The rest of specifications include support for Samsung Knox Security Suite, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and 4G VoLTE. The Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) is now up for pre-order in China for a price of 1599 Yuan (Rs 15,999/$240 approx.) Apart from the On7, Samsung has also teased the impending launch of their Galaxy On5 (2016) smartphone with Snapdragon 617 on the inside at the event itself.
