Vivo S6 5G: Design and Display
In terms of design, the S6 comes with a 3D curved back on the rear, which the company suggests, is made of a lightweight and thin nano-fiber polymer. The device has quad cameras on the rear, held up in a circular camera arrangement. Towards the front, there is a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display with a 2.5D curved glass on top. The display offers a 20:9 aspect ratio and FHD+ resolution, and it features a waterdrop-style notch on top for the front camera.
Vivo S6 5G: Performance
At its core, the Vivo S6 5G runs on Samsung’s Exynos 980 SoC (with Mali-G76 MP5 GPU), similar to the X30 and X30 Pro from last year. The Exynos 980 is an octa-core chipset clocked at 2.2GHz and built on the 8nm process. Besides, the device comes with 8GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) and 128GB / 256GB of onboard storage. To power the internals, it includes a 4500mAh with support for 18W fast charging. As for other specifications, the S6 supports 5G SA/ NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, and Bluetooth 5.1, for connectivity. And, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication, along with a 3.5mm audio jack and USB Type-C. On the software front, the handset runs on FuntouchOS 10, based on Android 10.
Vivo S6 5G: Camera
For optics, the S6 sports quad cameras on the rear with an LED flash. The setup includes a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.25 aperture and 112° FoV, a 2MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor. Upfront, the phone has a 32MP camera with an f/2.08 aperture.
Vivo S6 5G: Pricing and Availability
The Vivo S6 comes in two configurations: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB, priced at CNY 2698 (~ USD 380) and CNY 2998 (~ USD 422), respectively. It is already up for pre-order and will go on sale in China starting April 3.
